Luis Miguel is a Mexican singer and record producer. Born in Puerto Rico to an Italian mother and a Spanish father, he is often referred to as El Sol de Mexico (The Sun of Mexico), derived from the nickname his mother gave him as a child: "Mi sol" (My sun).
